The outstanding performance
of HiQual Heavy Duty Panels is further enhanced by the notched vertical
bracing
system. A 1 1/2, 16 gauge
tube is notched out at both ends and welded between each rail of the
panel. This center bracing system acts as another end post in the middle
of the panel. Strength is provided by the tubing itself and not just by
a weld. Sharp edges are also eliminated making it safer for your
livestock.
While strength is always
important for confinement, safety is also a valid concern. All HiQual
panels and gates are designed with square corners. Most manufacturers
use round corners which is an easier production process. However, a
rounded corner allows an animal to slide off the top of the panel and
get hung up in the panel connectors, causing severe injury or even
death. By changing to a square cornered design, HiQual has greatly
reduced the chances of injuries to your livestock.
Because
HiQual panels have so many uses, it was necessary to design a versatile
connecting system. Since security is the main purpose of the panel, the
connector also has to be livestock proof. The HiQual pin and clip system
is both livestock proof and versatile. The double female connector makes
three way connections possible without any additional hardware. For use
in calving or dairy barns, or simply to connect a panel to a post,
optional wall brackets are available. In fact, there is a HiQual panel
adapter available for almost any configuration you could imagine.
Since one of the main uses
of HiQual Heavy Duty Panels is for portable corrals, a portable gate is
a necessity. Frame Gates and PG4s (panels with 4 gates) are available
in many different sizes. Each gate features a spring loaded, self
catching plunger latch as well as extra heavy construction and bracing.
For example, the posts on the 10 and 12 frame gates are made with 2,
11 gauge tubing. For ride through applications, extender kits are
available to give you a 10 clearance.
