HiQual
Poly Tanks are rotationally molded with 100% virgin polymers. Rotational
molding causes the material to break down at the molecular level and realign
itself in the form of the mold. The tanks are extremely flexible and have
“memory” which means they will always return to their original shape.
In order to reduce costs, many
manufacturers will take old or improperly formed tanks and grind them back
into poly powder. This powder is then used to supplement their virgin poly.
However, the “regrind” poly causes the tank to lose its flexibility and
leaves weak spots in the body of the tank. HiQual uses 100% virgin poly to
guarantee the best quality, and we back it up with a five year warranty.
Rotational molding has other
benefits as well. The flexibility of the tanks allows them to expand and
contract as the weather changes. Unlike injection molded tanks, they don’t
become brittle in freezing temperatures. In addition, the sides of a HiQual
Poly Tank are smooth which limits algae growth and makes them easy to clean.
A common problem with many
tanks is leakage from the drain plug. To eliminate this, HiQual uses a cast
aluminum plug housing which is molded right into the tank. There are no
gaskets to corrode and break down.
